Update/Blogger Award

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I've been MIA for a few days now. I had some "real life" situations that needed to be taken care of and that has consumed my time and any energy I may of had. I'm hoping to have a new project up tomorrow! I start classes on Monday morning that will guarantee me a job upon my completing the training which will only take 6 weeks. I have been out of work for over a year so this is huge for me. Hopefully this is the start of great things in my life!!!

And...before I forget!! I've been awarded the

Annette at Addicted To Crafts awarded me this and I'm stoked! Thanks so much, Annette!! I will be back later with my 8 fun facts and 8 bloggers that I want to share this with!

Helllooo and Happy Valentine's Day!! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend and are ready for the start of the week. Today, Kassidy asked that we come up with a project using the colors pink and red. You're definitely going to want to stop over at Inking It Up Crazy to check out the amazing projects all the Design Team members came up with!!

Here's my project for today!

I decided to do something a little different this time and make a gatefold card. I started with a 4 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of black cardstock. I scored it at 2 1/8" and 6 3/8". The printed paper is cut at 2" x 4". The Hello Kitty image was cut at 3.25". The white cardstock in the inside was cut at 4" x 4".

Solid Cardstock by Recollections
Printed paper by DCWV (I think!)
Hello Kitty Cartridge
Diamond Stickles
Button
Hemp
Black Gel Pen
Hampton Art Stamps
Fired Brick Distressing Ink
Black Shimmer Embossing Powder

Thanks for stopping by and make sure you head over to Kassidy's Blog!!

Cricky Across the 50 Blog Hop

This Blog Hop goes "live" at 9:00AM PST

A Big Cricut Hello & Chirp to each of you! Welcome to the Cricky Across the 50 Blog Hop hosted by K Andrew of Getting Cricky! If you are here from Amy's page then you are in the right spot. If you just arrived here and would like to start from the beginning please go to KAndrew's Getting Cricky! . For this blog hop K Andrew is celebrating her big move across the country with a big road trip, and of course this hop across the 50 states! She has asked us all to post a little bit about the state we are representing, and then to post our Favorite Craft Project. I am representing the state of Delaware.

Delaware is known as the "First State" because it was the first of the 13 colonies to ratify the US Constitution---making it the first state in the union. Basically, Delaware was the trend setter for the remaining states. Delaware ranks 49th in square mileage among the states. It is made up of only 3 counties....New Castle to the North, Kent in Central Delaware and Sussex county to the south. Due to it's location, it's a quick 2 hour drive to the big cities of Washington D.C., Baltimore or Philadelphia.

My favorite part of Delaware is a beach town known as Rehoboth. It's a beautiful shore town with a mile long boardwalk. One side is the Atlantic Ocean, the other side is full of restaurants, shops, amusement park style rides and games and my favorite.....ICE CREAM!!!! Read an article about Rehoboth Beach from Southern Living here.
